There are five steps to create a roadmap.

  1. Inputting client information

  2. Choosing which packages to present to your client.

  3. Customizing your chosen packages

  4. Verifying your branding

  5. Viewing the roadmap

Viewing the roadmap

  1. Inputting client information

a. Client contact details and notes

  • Here is where you can store the essential contact information for your clients.

b. Client discovery

  • Here is where you can ask the client to describe the progress they hope to achieve by engaging with your firm. Anything entered in Section 4 will be displayed in your actual roadmap.

  • Once you define the client’s priorities, the remaining sections help clarify what the client should expect in your process.

  • Click save and continue to move forward to the next step.

    2. Choosing which packages to present to your client

a. Engage Software includes 9 packages that are already Pre-built for you.

b. You can include up to 3 packages in any roadmap to give the client options.

c. If you need help identifying which option you should include, you can take the quiz, and Engage will give you a recommendation.

To select a package, simply click on the “Selec” button.

3. Customizing your chosen packages

a. Enter a strategic Rate and Contract Period.

Your strategic rate is a blended hourly rate that includes not only your time but also your experience, knowledge, and expertise.

Your contract period is however long you wish your engagement with this client to be.

b. As soon as you enter those pieces of data, Engage will Auto-populate a default fee for each service included in your chosen package.

c. You can modify any service as needed by editing each element:

  • Feature Name: You have the option to rename any feature included in the package.

  • Pricing Bump: You can add a complexity bump to your fee, which will increase the price of a specific service.

  • Feature Frequency: You can adjust how often the client will receive the service.

  • Default Cost: You can override the default price of any service by entering a different value.

  • Hours: Instead of the default process, you can input the estimated hours required to complete a service and Engage will calculate the total cost.

  • Details: You can choose whether a service will occur only once or repeatedly based on your chosen frequency.

  • Deleting: You can click the trash can icon to remove a service from the package, and Engage will recalculate the total package price in real time.

d. Click the 'Add Feature' button to add a service to your package.

Engage offers a variety of pre-built services with predefined prices that you can add with a single click.

e. Customize Your Payment Terms:

  • Value Margin = Specify the profit margin you wish to achieve for this engagement. For friends and family, you can enter a $0 margin, and for complex clients, you can increase the margin to fairly compensate yourself.

  • Collect Upfront Fees = Collecting a portion of the contract value as an upfront payment. Collecting fees upfront will reduce the monthly / Quarterly /Yearly payments made by the client.

  • Payment Option = Select the payment option you want to display on your roadmap.

Click 'Save and Continue' to proceed."

4. Verifying your branding

After saving the package options you want to present to your client, you can add, edit, or verify your contact information and brand details.

If you would like to save your edits to your account, you can do so by clicking the “Save To Profile” button.

5. Viewing the roadmap

You now have a fully customized roadmap ready to share with your client!

When viewing your roadmap, you have 3 options to move forward.

  • Copy Link = A live link you can share with the client to allow them to choose their package option and begin onboarding

  • Export = Download a PDF copy of this roadmap or save it to your Google Drive

  • Save & Continue = Save this roadmap to your account so you can access it or edit it later.
