That’s why we’ve developed a suite of service packages, each designed to make your value crystal clear and to help your clients understand exactly what’s included when they choose to work with you.

Business Packages

1. New Business Incubator

  • Includes:

    • Entity setup assistance (LLC, S-Corp, etc.)

    • State and federal registrations (with state filing fees varying; e.g., CA $550, UT $75)

    • Business planning and initial financial setup

    • Bookkeeping/accounting software setup

    • First-year compliance and tax support

    • Cash flow and operations planning

  • Notes:

    • Targeted at startups and new business owners.

    • Pricing factors: complexity of business planning and state filing costs.

2. Business Bundle

  • Includes:

    • Ongoing tax preparation and filing (business returns)

    • Bookkeeping/accounting (GL, reconciliations, financial statements)

    • Advisory services (strategic, financial, tax)

    • Payroll processing if needed

    • Personal tax return for business owner (included in bundle)

    • Custom branding, client onboarding, and roadmap setup

    • Quarterly or annual review meetings

  • Notes:

    • Combines taxes, accounting, and advisory into an all-in-one solution.

    • Minimum legitimate monthly fee is $399–$500; can go up to $3,000+ depending on complexity.

3. Business Tax Advisory

  • Includes:

    • Business tax return preparation and filing

    • Tax planning and “what-if” scenario modeling

    • Advisory for compliance and entity structure

    • IRS/state correspondence assistance

  • Notes:

    • Does not include regular accounting/bookkeeping.

    • Priced lower than the full Business Bundle.

4. Accounting Success (Standalone Accounting)

  • Includes:

    • Bookkeeping and accounting services (transaction entry, reconciliations)

    • Monthly or quarterly financial reporting

    • Coordination with tax preparer for tax time

  • Notes:

    • Tax services typically not included (most firms require bundle for taxes + accounting).

    • Standalone accounting is offered by ~40% of firms; most combine with tax.

5. Payroll Success

  • Includes:

    • Payroll processing (for 1–3 employees typically)

    • Payroll tax filings (federal and state)

    • Payroll compliance guidance

    • W-2/1099 reporting

  • Notes:

    • Standalone payroll rarely sold; typically combined with other packages.

    • Firms often recommend third-party payroll platforms for scalability.

6. Recording-Only Business (Tax Prep Only)

  • Includes:

    • Business tax return preparation (compliance-focused)

    • Basic document collection and organization

  • Notes:

    • No ongoing advisory or accounting/bookkeeping included.

    • Suitable for “taxes only” business clients.


Individual Packages

1. Personal Bundle

  • Includes:

    • Personal tax return preparation (federal/state)

    • Personal tax planning (year-round)

    • Basic personal advisory/planning (financial goals, cash flow)

    • IRS/state correspondence support

  • Notes:

    • For individuals/families, including single-member LLCs with simple needs.

    • Pricing can increase with complexity or if business activities are involved.

2. IRS Rapid Relief (IRS Resolution Work)

  • Includes:

    • Full IRS representation (power of attorney)

    • IRS and state tax resolution: audits, installment agreements, offer-in-compromise, penalty abatement

    • All required filings and communication with agencies

    • Ongoing status updates and post-resolution tax planning

  • Notes:

    • For clients with active IRS cases or audits.

    • Resolution work is complex; typically a minority of firms offer this.

3. Reporting-Only Individual (Individual Tax Prep)

  • Includes:

    • Federal and state income tax return preparation

    • E-filing and confirmation

    • Basic document review and compliance check

  • Notes:

    • No ongoing advisory or planning.

    • Complexity (multiple states, investments, rentals, etc.) affects final fee.


Bundling

Most firms encourage bundled services over standalone offerings to maximize value and clarity.

Customization

Packages can be adjusted for specific client needs; pricing “bumps” are based on complexity or additional features.

Service Agreements & Compliance

Standard documents include mutual commitments, engagement agreements, IRS 7216 disclosure, and payment authorization forms.
